TIPS Certification
Main Post:
I'm thinking about getting TIPS certified to help with job prospects.
I know in some states it's required, it isn't in Florida. I'm wondering if it wouldn't hurt to have as another line on my resume. The conventional wisdom around here is that bartending school is worthless, is it the same for TIPS (or similar programs)? The difference is between cocktail/drink making vs safety and drunk-people skills.
If anybody would recommend getting a TIPS certification, what website would you recommend getting it from? There seems to be multiple.
Merci!

Gettips.com is the official site. They have online course now specifically geared towards on-premise. It's only $40. I used to be a tips trainer because my job at the time required me to train a lot of staff. It's a valuable program with a lot of common sense and reasoning skills built into it. Doing a classroom tips can suck if you end up lumped together with a bunch of retail workers. Nothing worst then being stuck in a class with some guy from a 7-11 wasting valuable time with dumb ass questions. Oh and since you brought it up, never ever considered taking a bartending course. I've never hired anyone who walks through the door with a certificate and never will.
Tips please

Any tips that will help my profile stand out more?
I'm really not getting any likes and I cannot figure out either what I'm missing or what I need to remove.

You’re not getting a lot of likes because you’re on a dating app that has more men on it than women honestly. Women tend to mindlessly scroll through profiles out of boredom especially if none peak their interest . I would say your profile is a bit dull and boring to read through. There’s nothing really separating your profile from another’s guys. Have an eye catcher photo or prompt that makes women have interest other than that there’s nothing REALLY wrong with ur profile

Setting a goal for yourself is definitely a good idea. It gives you a solid point to work towards, which can help with motivation, and allows you to determine which parts of the game you can ignore for now, which can help you feel less overwhelmed.
A good goal could be unlocking X planet, completing Y quest, farming for Z Warframe, etc. As long as it's interesting to you, it's good.
There's a bunch of Warframes that are fairly easy to get early on:
- Koumei: All blueprints from the Shrine Defense gamemode, which you unlock by talking to Saya in Cetus on Earth after completing the Once Awake quest.
- Rhino: Component blueprints from The Jackal on Venus, main blueprint in the Market for Credits.
- Excalibur: Component blueprints from Lech Kril on Mars, main blueprint in the Market for Credits.
- Mag: Component blueprints from The Sargeant on Phobos, main blueprint in the Market for Credits.
- Frost: Component blueprints from Lech Kril & Vor on Ceres, main blueprint in the Market for Credits.
- Volt, Zephyr, Banshee, Nezha, and Wukong: All blueprints in your Clan's Tenno Lab for Credits.
You can have a look at them in the Market to see which ones you might like.
There's a small guide in the top right of your screen that recommends quests for you. If you're not sure how something works, there's usually a lot of helpful people hanging around in the in-game Q&A chat.
Camp build advanced tips?
Main Post:
I'm wondering if anyone can give me some tips for better camp building? I'm waiting to build a new modern steal and stucco looking camp. My last camp turned out pretty nicely mostly by using the double wall trick and wallpaper on the exterior . But I see a lot of camps with plain white or off white walls. All my wallpaper has a pattern. Did I miss a wallpaper bundle or if there another trick I'm missing?
Any videos or advanced tips I'd love to hear them.
Thanks in advance

Linus Tech Tips is on fire recently. He is averaging around 1.4m views per video for the past few months, while last year it was about 950k to 1m per video. Lots of viral videos too.

Clearly their new approach to content is paying off, and it is nice to see. They deserve every bit of success going their way after being demonised by the internet for a while.
(Part 2) Japan tips I learned throughout my trip and didn't see anywhere else (including Disney/Universal tips).
Main Post:
Because my last post was so successful I decided to make another one with some other points I took note of. This one might be a bit less impressive (sorry)
- When going to Universal, make sure that your ticket price is the same of the day you are going on
- Sometimes, the prices change and you SHOULDN'T have to pay extra as long as you bought the ticket before the change. But, the ground crew doesn't know this apparently - I waited almost 2 hours in line only to get sent to another counter to pay the difference and upgrade my ticket even though I had an email from USJ confirming that my ticket is good
- When going to DisneySea, 1 hour before park opens is not enough if you want to buy DPA or get Standby for Frozen. They sell out almost instantly... It takes about 1h to go through security, and another 20-30m to get through the ticket gate
- Disneyland seems to be less busy and 1 hour before park opens is reasonable
- DisneySea lines for food get really crazy really fast, do yourself a favor and get a mobile order set up for when you plan to eat
- DisneySea/Disneyland snack scene is very different than USA - there are a lot of "booths" but they all serve the same things with different flavorings (popcorn/churros/drinks)
- USJ and Disney parks don't have wifi - and I lost internet many times, be ready for that
- When using mobile order in Disney, as long as you don't press "I am here" you are not charged
- If you lose internet and didn't click "I am here" the cashiers never get your order, and you don't pay. So either wait for your internet to come back (which might be a while), or order in person and then cancel the mobile order
- After clicking "I am here" take a screenshot of your order number so if you lose internet you have something to show the cashiers
- USJ
- Hollywood Dream ride - When boarding the ride, you first go through to the other side, place your bag in a shared bag space, and then go back to sit down. Very different than US in America
- Demon Slayer ride - You need to use a 100yen coin to use a locker, you get it back once you retrieve your items
- It took me a second to figure it out, but the sequence is open the locker, put your stuff in, put 100 yen in, close the locker, turn the key and take it with you
- The Flying Dinosaur - empty absolutely everything out of your pocket including any paper. The only thing you can have is the paper they give you with a QR code to open your locker
- Mario Kart - My headset was working, but didn't register any points. I told the staff as I got off and they let me ride it again. Don't be shy to speak up if it's a fair complaint
- Disneyland
- Buy a DPA to Beauty and the Beast and do the rest of the attractions in the morning. I don't suggest doing Baymax - not worth the wait
- When taking the Nozomi Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Kyoto, I was looking for a large board that shows the trains and their platforms, but I wasn't able to find one? Instead each platform had it's own board with the train numbers going through it
- There might be a large board, but I couldn't easily find it
- Don't bring anything - my hotels always had tooth brushes/tooth paste, hair brush, q-tips, wash cloths, skin moisturizers, hair gel/mousse, etc. If something is missing, most Konbinis have everything you need (including contact solution)
- If you get sick, go to this reddit thread (shoutout to u/Himekat)
- When boarding a Limited Express train (i.e Kyoto to Nara), make sure to reset your destination so Google Maps is up to date with the current train you're taking and doesn't confuse you
- I bought a ticket directly to Nara, but Google Maps was telling me to get off at a certain station and take another train. I later realized it was my bad - Google was thinking I'm on a previous train that wasn't going all the way to Nara.
- Use the "Also scheduled at" screen on Google Maps to see if it's worth it for you to rush to your train or not
- Most trains show up every 3-5 minutes, in smaller cities some show up every 15 minutes
- My wife really wanted to go to Costco Japan (in Osaka) and I thought it was going to be a waste of time... It was surprisingly very fun and the food in the food court was great. Highly recommended
- Some stations have colored lines while waiting for trains. You just need to know the color of the line you want to board and stand in that line
- When getting a Shinkansen ticket, I was worried it would take me a while to find my platform, but it was pretty straight forward. I think that 20-30m is PLENTY of time
- Narita Express
- Kind of goes with the comment above, I was scared it will take me time to find the platform and booked a ticket for the next train in about 20m. There was a train right there waiting and an attendant helped me change my ticket to the train standing there. I was given 2 tickets at that point - my old ticket with red markings on it and a new ticket
- When leaving Tokyo Station where I got off, I used the NEW ticket to try and exit, but it did nothing but swallow the ticket. I had to use the old ticket I used to get into the platform
- Ticket gates close almost immediately, you have to scan/insert your ticket as you're moving and go through right away
- Nothing hits harder than sitting down on a cold toilet seat when you get back home. Get ready for post-Japan depression (with a cold butt)
If I can come up with any other ones I'll do a part 3

Can you get into a bit more detail with Disney sea? I'm really not "that" interested in the rides, but rather just soaking in the atmosphere. I'm going for the views. Would I need to show up two to 3 hours early before the park opens?
